Education
Njeru Kinyua was born near the slopes of Mt. Kenya. He pursued his high school education at Kangaru School, culminating in attaining a High School Diploma. Subsequently, he embarked on a higher education path that has shaped his professional trajectory.
Njeru’s pursuit of knowledge led him to the esteemed University of South Africa, where he diligently worked towards and ultimately earned a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Power Engineering. Building upon this foundational expertise, he further honed his skills by completing a Postgraduate Degree in Strategic Marketing at Middlesex University.
His commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in his participation in the CTS Master class at Vlerick Business School, which added valuable insights and knowledge to his repertoire. These academic and educational accomplishments have been pivotal in Njeru’s successful career.
Career Highlights
Njeru currently holds the Regional Aftermarket Sales Manager position, overseeing the Indirect and distributor business operations for the Atlas Copco Group in the Middle East. This role encompasses a broad geographical scope, including the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, and Yemen.
Njeru’s journey with the Atlas Copco Group began in 2006 when he joined the company as a Junior Engineer based in Atlas Copco, Eastern Africa. During his tenure in this role, he honed his engineering skills and actively participated in diverse projects, which included auditing compressed air systems and commissioning new products.
Subsequently, Njeru transitioned to Atlas Copco Service Middle East, where he became part of a pioneering team that successfully commissioned one of the largest installations of centrifugal compressors in Qatar at that time. His outstanding contributions led him to take on the role of Service Manager in Bahrain. After serving in this capacity for several years, he relocated to Qatar, where he assumed the position of Aftermarket Manager.
Throughout his tenure as the Regional Aftermarket Manager, Njeru has played a pivotal role in achieving remarkable double-digit year-on-year growth in the aftermarket business. This exceptional performance has doubled the business’s size over six years. Furthermore, Njeru has been at the forefront of driving the implementation of IoT solutions within the company, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of aftermarket operations.
